Empowering people, strengthening livelihoods and creating sustainable communities.
Seeds for Social Change implements community-led programs that promote women's empowerment, agriculture, livestock development, entrepreneurship, education and sustainable livelihoods.
Our programs are designed to equip women, youth, farmers and pastoralists with practical knowledge, skills and opportunities that can improve their livelihoods and contribute to community development.
We provide training and support to strengthen community-based cooperatives through improved leadership, governance, teamwork, record keeping and business management.
We equip women and entrepreneurs with practical business skills to start, manage and grow sustainable enterprises.
We build the capacity of women and youth involved in the shea value chain, focusing on quality, processing, value addition and market opportunities.
We promote improved livestock management, animal husbandry and sustainable livestock-based livelihoods for farmers and pastoralists.
We promote improved cooking technologies that support efficient fuel use, healthier households and environmentally sustainable practices.
We support community health screening activities that promote health awareness and encourage access to appropriate health services.
Farmers receive training on improved soybean production, farm management, post-harvest handling, value addition and market opportunities.
We help participants develop practical financial management skills including savings, budgeting, responsible borrowing and business financial planning.
We empower women through skills development, entrepreneurship, rights awareness, access to opportunities and economic empowerment initiatives.
Seeds for Social Change believes that sustainable development starts with communities themselves.
We therefore work closely with community members, local leaders, farmers, women and young people to identify challenges and develop practical solutions that respond to local needs.
Through training, partnerships, community outreach and market linkages, we aim to create opportunities that can continue beyond individual projects.

Seeds for Social Change works with partners and stakeholders to strengthen livelihoods and create sustainable opportunities within communities.
Through partnerships with organizations including the Global Shea Alliance and Mastercard Foundation, we have supported capacity building and opportunities for women and youth within the shea industry.
We also collaborate with market actors to strengthen market linkages and improve opportunities for producers.
Whether through partnership, collaboration or community engagement, there are many ways to contribute to sustainable development.
